Summer care delivered to the front line
Cooling drinks, sun protection supplies and adjusted shift arrangements were rolled out across the casting and machining workshops during the hottest weeks of the year.

Die casting is hot work by nature. Every summer the company runs a front-line care programme: chilled drinks and herbal tea on every shift, additional ventilation and cooling points near the furnaces, and a review of shift rotations so nobody works a long stretch in the hottest part of the day.
Supervisors also check personal protective equipment daily, and the safety committee collects feedback from the shop floor so improvements can be made while the season is still running.
